The site is organized into three major sections, which are Owen & Pat's pictures, those of their children and their families, and those their parents and extended families.
The new Family Album menu organizes the family groups the within the maternal or paternal lines and uses drop-down lists to aid selection. The frist group is devoted to Owen & Pat, their children and grandchildren. The next group on the first row lists Owen's parents and his father's side of the family. The third list on the top row lists Owen's mother's family.
The second row of lists is devoted to Pat's side of the family: the first list is for her father's family, and the next two are
her mother's family. The Harris list includes Pat's mother's parents and her father's family and her brother's family. The last list on the second row lists her grandmother's family, the Pettits, Hollenbecks, and Nafus'. Some of these pictures date back to the Civil War era.
Each family group is organized as if it were in a separate photo album. The group photos on these "cover" pages are image maps which enable you to click on individual images within the picture to link to pages devoted to that person. Group pictures are often linked with a horizontal button/bar below the main photo. Click the button for group pictures of that family. Or use the sphereical buttons to move ahead with the group pictures.
Clicking on photos that are not image maps, i.e. they are not on cover pages, will take you to the next page in the section. Each page contains one or more spherical buttons below the pictures to allow the user to skip forward and backward through the collection in that section. Most of the spheres are pearls of one color or another. The sparkling diamond represents the current page.
Below the spherical page navigation buttons are rectangular section buttons. These will allow you to move to closely related family sections. And last are buttons for the family tree page and a site map. The site map is an outline with links to all the pages in the album.
There are some Adobe Acrobat files included in the collection. Be sure to download Acrobat Reader so that you may enjoy those files. A link to the Adobe site is included on those pages where the Acrobat links exist.
I hope you enjoy your trip through our family photo collection. This is a "work in progress," so please return to see what has been added. Although I've navigated through all the pages to see that there are no broken links, but I could have missed something. Please e-mail if you find anything that doesn't work properly. And please enjoy.
